The major European Leagues are back and we are starting to get a picture of how the teams are shaping up after two games and the transfer window closing.
Last night Dundalk made Irish footballing history by getting their first point in the Europa League group stages, no Irish team had ever won a point in a European competition group stage before last night. Shamrock Rovers who qualified for the Europa League group stages in 2011 didn’t win a single point, meaning that Dundalk’s draw last night was a sufficient result in Irish football history.
The domestic season has ended in all of the major European leagues this weekend. All European leagues ended with their biggest domestic cup competition final. Continue reading
