This win guarantees Manchester United will be playing in the Champions League next season. After a poor season in the league Man United have ended it with two trophies and European football next season. Man United have been definitely hit and miss when it comes to the Europa League this season but last night’s game showed that it was men against boys, as Ajax’s young team could not cope with the experience and physicality of the Manchester United team.

Manchester United took an early lead thanks to a deflected shot by Paul Pogba, Henrik Mkhitaryan then scored right after half time to kill the game off. Ajax never looked like coming back after that, and Manchester United looked set to pick up the Europa League trophy for the very first time.
