Sweet FA

It was a weekend of shocks in the FA Cup this weekend.

Sutton United and Lincoln City were the biggest winners of the 4th round of the FA Cup. Sutton beat Leeds United at home while Lincoln beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 in a fantastic game.

Wycombe Wanderers nearly had one of the biggest shocks of the round when they nearly beat Tottenham Hotspur. Wycombe were 2-0 against Spurs at half time, then with one minute to go in the game they were 3-2 up only to lose the game 4-3 by the end of the game. It was a cruel loss for Wycombe as they played a fantastic game at White Hart Lane and if not deserving of a win a replay would have been deserved as well.

The biggest team to fall at the 4th round had to be Liverpool who were beat by Wolves 2-1 at Anfield, that result now means that Liverpool have no cup competitions to play for but they have a big match against Chelsea this Tuesday night to determine if they still have a shot at the Premier League title.

The FA 4th round had some interesting results and after Sutton United’s great win against Leeds they have been rewarded with a massive game at home against Premier League side Arsenal.

The FA Cup is at it’s best when there are occasions like this, could we be in for a massive upset in the 5th round?
