It’s Back

The Premier League is back and it has a new logo. Football is back we have all enjoyed our summer holidays but we have all been pining for the return of football as well.

It seems so long ago that the Premier League finished and then the Euros during the summer seem like a distant memory, but finally the week in week out of the Premier League is back and it looks like it could be the most exciting season yet. Some of the summer signings have been exciting this year with Manchester United breaking the transfer record on Paul Pogba at £89 million, Manchester City have already spent around £140 million this summer already and other top teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester have spent big money this summer so far.

After winning the league surprisingly last season Leicester should still be contenders for the league and with Tottenham Hotspur doing so well last season as well there could be six or seven teams fighting for the league title this year. Not only has the Premier League had massive signings this summer they have also had major managerial changes as well. Pep Guardiola moving to Manchester City, Jose Mourinho becoming Manchester United manager and Antonio Conte taking over at Chelsea. The Premier League can now boast some of the best managers in world football, and with those kinds of managers this could be the most competitive title race ever.

After the opening weekend we have seen some surprise results and some great performances but it won’t be until the transfer window closes that we see what every club can achieve this season. I believe that the title will be competed between Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City this season. It has all the makings of an exciting season and we are all glad that it is back.
